Ranger Super Coders | How it started
Ranger Technical Resources recently partnered with Code.org for Hour of Code™, a Global Computer Science Education Week initiative, to encourage youth to learn basic coding. Over 29 million students around the world participated. We contributed by sending mentors to local schools and sponsored an Hour of Code at our corporate office.
On December 10 2013, the students of Dillard Elementary School participated in Hour of Code with Ranger Technical Resource’s corporate philanthropic initiative, Ranger Good Works. The moment they stepped off of the bus you could feel the excitement growing and immediately see how eager this group was to begin their technical learning as Ranger Super Coders!
The students became IT professionals for the activity, as each one was assigned their own unique technical career. We set up Education Stations to make the learning process easier and less overwhelming, which proved to be extremely successful. The students worked in teams to build their very own Ranger Super Coders website which can be viewed at www.rangercoders.com.
