Director, Technology, Planning & Policy #1061

Position Summary:

This role works closely with business lines to ensure all technology needs are addressed properly, as well as to facilitate best practices.  Translates business plans into achievable tactical initiatives and ensures their execution.  Provides overall budget planning and monitoring, provides Board and committee support and work with other Program Leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs.

Experience and Education:

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Experience in IT project management with experience successfully managing enterprise-wide IT projects.

  • Technology infrastructure, including network systems and management
  • Telecommunications (voice and data), systems planning and development, and information security
  • Cloud Data Centers and on premise solutions

Primary Job Responsibilities:    

  • Implement policies and controls to ensure the successful management and reporting of all large-scale district initiatives within Information and Technology.
  • Supervise and lead the project staff to oversee the impacts and interdependencies between programs and work to ensure initiatives meet the goals and objectives of the district.
  • Provide both verbal and written communications regarding project status, risks and issues.
  • Analyzes business needs and work with stakeholders to propose and deliver cost effective solutions.
  • Educates and provides thought leadership for the introduction of project management methodologies in Information & Technology product and process development.
