QA Engineer #2583-Networks – Location: remote; LATAM (EC, BR, MX & CO) OR US
Position Summary:
Our partner, a fast-growing PaaS company specializing in remote monitoring and network management solutions, is looking to add an IT Engineer – QA Analyst with a focus on Networks to their team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and accuracy of network device monitoring solutions. You will collaborate closely with development, product, and network engineering teams to maintain and enhance system quality, particularly in testing network protocols, analyzing network traffic, and ensuring consistent data processing from devices like routers and switches.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related technical field/experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Systems Administration, QA Engineering, or related positions.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, network device management, and remote monitoring systems.
- Experience with computer networks and network equipment setup and management.
- Expertise in systems testing, network monitoring, and network protocol validation.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for network hardware and protocols to ensure high-quality standards.
- Perform testing of network protocols using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Shell, or Bash, identifying possible defects, and ensuring corrective measures.
- Configure and manage various network equipment, ensuring proper setup, performance, and troubleshooting of network devices.
- Validate network configurations, including firewalls, switches, routers, and virtual routers, to ensure proper implementation.
- Implement security protocols, firewall configurations, and regular system updates to ensure network security.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
- Provide technical support to end-users, resolving issues related to network and system access.
- Maintain thorough documentation on test cases, network configurations, and system performance. Relay detailed feedback on system issues to development teams, ensuring quick resolution and continual product improvement.
- Manage backup operations and disaster recovery plans to protect data and ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure alignment on testing objectives and priorities.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
