Position Summary:
Our partner, a growing streaming and marketing optimization company, is looking for a Scrum Master to help transform a capable engineering team into a high-performing agile unit. You’ll guide a talented group of developers who build and maintain high-traffic digital media platforms, bringing focus, rhythm, and predictability to their sprints. Acting as the bridge between engineers, stakeholders, and leadership, you’ll align the process from backlog refinement and sprint planning to cadence and requirement clarity. Your work will remove blockers, improve communication, and introduce a lightweight structure that keeps delivery moving smoothly. This opportunity is ideal for someone who can translate between business goals and technical priorities to help the team operate at its best.

Experience and Education:

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience/field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master supporting software engineering teams
  • Background in software development, QA, or systems delivery preferred
  • Experience improving sprint velocity and delivery outcomes
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Hands-on experience with backlog management tools (Jira, ClickUp, or similar)
  • Proven ability to facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, and stakeholder communication

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews
  • Maintain clear sprint goals and keep delivery aligned with priorities
  • Collaborate with the engineering lead to track sprint progress and remove roadblocks
  • Support backlog refinement and help the team plan achievable iterations
  • Establish and optimize sprint cadences that match the team’s working rhythm
  • Encourage team accountability and shared ownership of outcomes
  • Promote transparency in workstreams and communicate progress to stakeholders
  • Identify areas for improvement in process efficiency and team communication
  • Coach engineers and stakeholders on agile best practices and tools
  • Ensure documentation and action items are kept up-to-date across systems
  • Act as a liaison between technical and business teams, keeping expectations aligned
  • Track and analyze delivery metrics to drive continuous improvement
